Five-Goal Flurry Lifts Williams Over Bantams

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Ice Hockey team fell to visiting Williams College, 5–0, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) matchup Friday evening at the Koeppel Community Sports Center. The Bantams slide to 6–8–0 overall and 2–5–0 in conference play, while the Ephs improve to 10–1–2 and 3–1–1 in the NESCAC.

What Happened:

  • Just over twelve minutes into the opening period, the Ephs broke the ice as Trinity goaltender Katherine Lemke turned aside back-to-back attempts before Savana Littlewood buried the rebound on a wrap-around top-shelf finish to put Williams ahead 1–0 after twenty minutes.

  • Just 39 seconds into the second frame, Zoe Rosenberg doubled the Ephs' lead immediately following an opening faceoff win.

  • Seven minutes later, Williams struck twice in quick succession, as Jaelyn Keiver and Charlotte Fetherston extended the margin to 4–0 heading to the third.

  • The Ephs added one final tally at 8:52 of the third period to secure the 5–0 result.

Inside the Numbers:

  • Williams held a 31–23 advantage in shots on goal, while Trinity edged the faceoff battle 26–25.

  • Trinity went 0-for-1 on the power play, and Williams finished 0-for-5.

  • Lemke posted a game-high 26 saves for the Bantams, while Williams' Eva Bentley turned away 23 shots for her first career shutout.

The Bantams will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon in a 3:00 p.m. rematch with the Ephs to close out the weekend series.
