WORCESTER, Mass. – The top-ranked Trinity College Men's Basketball team dismantled host Worcester State University, 99-49, in a non-conference tilt at Brissette Court Tuesday night. The Bantams rise to 12-0 on the season, while the Lancers dip to 2-9 overall.
What Happened:
- The Bantams led wire-to-wire during the game, opening the contest with a 7-0 run. The Lancers battled back and kept play close, trimming the gap to 14-12 midway through the period.
- Drew Lazarre erupted for four straight three-pointers to rebuild a 29-14 advantage, and then Jarrel Okorougo chipped in five points as the lead swelled to 39-18 with 2:41 on the clock. Trinity pushed the lead to 43-22 at the break.
- Henry Vetter caught fire to kick off the second half, pouring in 12 straight points to push the lead to 55-32 with 15:44 to play. David Ayles added seven points during an 11-0 run over the next three minutes to set the score at 66-32 with 13:34 on the clock.
- Jared Berry contributed nine points over the next six minutes, along with five points from Paul Ippolito to escort the lead to 86-39. The Bantams used bench points from Jadon Holmes, Kobe Closeil, Patrick Mahoney and Wes Reardon to seal the 99-49 victory.

- The Bantams connected on a season-high 50% (36-of-72) from the field, including 39.1% (9-of-23) from the beyond the arc, and 62.5% (15-of-24) from the foul line.

- Vetter tallied 17 points with three rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Okorougo added 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals.
- Johnny Annan aced the Lancers with seven points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Joe Okla notched seven points and five rebounds.
