Women's Soccer Battles Endicott To Draw On Senior Day

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team wrapped their non-conference slate with a 0-0 draw against visiting Endicott College at the Trinity Soccer Field Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 6-5-3, while the Gulls sit at 9-3-3 on the season.

What Happened:
  • Prior to the game, the Trinity Women's Soccer program honored their departing Class of 2027: Emma Almoney, Shea O'Neill and Zoe Tamborello.
  • The Bantams offense fired a game-high 21 shots, beginning with a strike from Caroline Kelleher in the 2nd minute of action, but Endicott keeper Amanda Cosgrove notched the first of her 12 saves on the day.
  • In the 27th minute, Stella Scobbo looked to volley in the first score after a Bantam corner kick, but the attempt went straight to Cosgrove. Tamborello denied Riley Kenneally in the 36th minute, and then Cosgrove tallied three straight saves to maintain a clean sheet at the half.
  • Trinity applied pressure early in the second half as Sophia Simmons, Iva Carton and Kyra Charette fired shots on goal in the opening 13 minutes of the second half. Cosgrove halted back-to-back attempts from Simmons in the 66th minutes. Simmons tried for a game-winner in the 81st minute, but Cosgrove was able to scoop a one-hooper from outside the box to send the game to the 0-0 final.
