PAXTON, Mass. – The fifth-ranked Trinity College Men's Basketball team cruised past host Anna Maria College, 112-56, in a non-conference game at Alumni Gymnasium Monday night. The Bantams rise to 20-2, while the AMCATS slide to 5-16.
What Happened:
- The Bantams offense clamped down Anna Maria out of the gates, forcing four turnovers en route to a 17-3 lead, behind eight points from Drew Lazarre and seven points from Jarrel Okorougo.
- Leading 23-11 at the 13:47 mark, Trinity used a 10-2 run, capped by three-pointers from Samuel Norris and Henry Vetter, to push the advantage to 33-13 midway through the first half. Trinity allowed one point over the final four minutes of the frame to take a 54-20 lead into halftime.
- The Bantams defense continued to strap down the AMCATS in the second half, limiting Anna Maria to five points over the opening six minutes, as six-point efforts from Okorougo and Lazarre helped escort the lead to 75-25 with 13:54 on the clock.
- Paul Jordan and Jared Berry combined for ten points to fuel a 12-5 run, pushing the gap to 87-30 at the 9:34 mark. Bangaly Berete and Nathan Freisthler chipped in six points apiece down the stretch, while Weston Reardon added four points to seal the 112-56 victory.

- Berry flirted with a double-double, recording 10 points with nine rebounds and three assists, and Tristan Davis added 10 points and three rebounds.
- James Canady led Anna Maria with a team-high 12 points.
- The Bantams posted their highest point total (112) since delivering a 113-91 victory over Mitchell College on November 12, 2021.
- Trinity reached the 20-win plateau for the 15th time in program history, and the fourth time during the Cosgrove era. For the first time in program history, the Bantams have registered three straight 20-win seasons.
