MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bantams dropped a 10-4 New England Small College Athletic Conference meeting to host Middlebury College on Saturday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening quarter for Trinity, Alex Lesko put the Bantams on the board early in the second quarter with a free-position goal to cut the Panthers' lead to 3-1. Middlebury's Skylar Lach and Siobhan Colin quickly responded with back-to-back goals, extending the advantage to 5-1 with 11:23 remaining in the half.
Following a yellow card issued to Middlebury's Colin, Trinity capitalized on the player-up opportunity as Sarah Marvin finished a feed from Grace Denious to trim the deficit to 5-2.
Middlebury pulled away in the second half, outscoring Trinity 5-2 across the third and fourth quarters to secure the 10-4 final.
