HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College Men's Basketball senior
Henry Vetter (Kenilworth, Ill.) was selected as a 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American selection, announced on Tuesday. Vetter becomes the second Bantam in program history to earn CSC Academic All-American honors, joining Keith Wolff in 1995.
A film studies major with a 3.55 GPA, Vetter adds his Academic All-American selection with CSC Academic All-District, New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Academic All-Conference and NABC Honors Court honors. Vetter helped led the Bantams to their third straight NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Final Four, earning 2025-26 D3hoops.com Third Team All-American, 2025-26 NABC All-American Second Team, NABC All-District First Team, D3hoops.com All-Region First Team and NESCAC All-Conference First Team honors. Vetter averaged14.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals. Vetter became the program's all-time leader in games played (122), three-point field goals made (243) and free throw percentage (.872), and ranks third in career points (1,718), sixth in field goals made (560), and seventh in career assists (374).
Academic All-American is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. The all-time list of 44,000+ Academic All-Americans includes major sports stars and some of the world's most accomplished individuals in medicine, business, science and the arts. Nominating and voting for Academic All-America® is an exclusive right of College Sports Communicators members.
- Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards. (over 30,000 nominations annually)
- A select group of student-athletes advances to the national ballot where CSC members vote on Academic All-America teams. (approximately 2,000 selections annually)
- An Academic All-American Team Member of the Year is selected in each sport and division. (66 recipients)
- An Overall Academic All-American of the Year is selected as the top student-athlete across all sports in each NCAA and NAIA division. (4 recipients)
