HARTFORD, Conn. – For the 10th consecutive year, the Trinity College women's volleyball team has received the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

To earn this prestigious honor, volleyball programs must maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).

In addition to the AVCA Team Academic Award, the Bantams had four student-athletes recognized as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees: senior Caroline Howell, juniors Scarlett Jago and Catalina Hendricks, and sophomore Maya Hall.

Seven Bantams also earned New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Fall All-Academic Team honors by maintaining a grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. The honorees were Chloe Gentile, Ellie Gordon, Caroline Howell, Scarlett Jago, Bella Nash, Annette Schlunk, and Grace Soltis.

The Trinity women's volleyball team will kick off its 2026 season with two home matches on Saturday, September 5. The Bantams will face SUNY Canton at 12 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. match against visiting Husson University.
