HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team shut out visiting UMass-Dartmouth, 2-0, in a non-conference tilt at Trinity College Soccer Field Tuesday evening. The Bantams rise to 2-1 on the season, while the Corsairs slide to 1-3 overall.
 
What Happened:

• The Bantams controlled the pace wire-to-wire, dominating the shot column 33-4 during the game.
• Trinity produced seven shots in the opening 13 minutes, including a blast from Taylor Troskey that rang off the crossbar. Makena Hammond looked to get the Bantams on the board in the 23^rd minute, but Corsairs keeper Emma Juelis made a diving save to preserve the scoreless game.
• With 5:01 to play in the first half, Trinity found the back of the net as Sydney Cohen guided a pass behind a pair of UMD defenders, finding Emma Rose, who fired a shot that was stopped by Juelis, but Rose ripped home a rebound attempt, giving the Bantams a 1-0 lead heading into the break.
• Less than a minute into the second half, the Bantams tacked on an insurance tally as Addie Covey, Iva Carton and Troskey delivered a tactical strike with one-touch passes setting up the goal from Troskey with 44:18 remaining.
