Women's Soccer Falls to Hamilton, 3-0

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback to visiting Hamilton College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) tilt at the Trinity Soccer Field Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 2-2 on the season, while the Continentals improve to 4-1.

What Happened:

  • After a shot from Samantha Tyska trickled wide of the Bantams net, the ensuing goal kick from Zoe Tamborello was intercepted by Lila Sullivan, who tucked a shot between Tamborello and the post, putting Hamilton ahead 1-0.
  • Following halftime, the Bantams were whistled for a foul deep in their territory, and Kate Giglio placed the free kick off the inside of the far post, pushing the Continentals to a 2-0 lead.
  • In the 56th minute, the Continentals put the game out of reach as Diana Baffor spun a pass through the Bantams defense and Sullivan crashed to the ball and chipped a shot over a charging Tamborello to send Hamilton to a 3-0 win.
