HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College women's volleyball team went for the straight-set sweep against the visiting Johnson & Wales University Wildcats Saturday afternoon in Oosting Gymnasium. Sophomore Emma Ewart registered her second consecutive double-double of the week as the Bantams posted a 3-0 sweep over the Wildcats.
The Bantams rise to 7-3 overall, while the Wildcats fall to 7-3.

Set One – Trinity, 25-20: The Bantams tallied 11 kills in the opening set, while Johnson & Wales recorded 10. Trinity posted a .211 hitting percentage compared to JWU's .100.

Set Two – Trinity, 25-20: Trinity logged 15 kills to Johnson & Wales' 13 in the second set while securing a .286 hitting percentage compared to JWU's .243.

Set Three – Trinity, 25-12: Trinity secured the third set by tallying 14 kills to JWU's four. The Bantams boasted a .387 hitting percentage compared to JWU's -.091. Trinity closed out the match with a 15-0 run against the Wildcats.

Ewart led Trinity with 11 kills and 14 digs for her fourth double-double of the season while also adding one service ace.
