HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team will look to continue its upward trajectory in 2026, under the guidance of eighth-year head coach Rachael Schroeder. The Bantams will open their 2026 campaign against the University of Saint Joseph on Saturday, September 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Trinity Soccer Field.

• Last season, Trinity logged a 6-7-2 record with a 2-7-1 mark in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play, doubling its win total from the previous season.
• Trinity ranked seventh in the NESCAC in points (62), ninth in goals (21), fifth in assists (20), ninth in shots (195), tied for sixth in saves (60), and 11th in save percentage (.750) during the 2025 season. The Bantams averaged 13.00 shots, 1.40 goals and 1.33 goals allowed per game while recording seven shutouts.
• Senior Emma Almoney returns for her fourth season with the Bantams after registering three assists in 14 games, including two starts, in 2025. Almoney finished the season with 12 shots and six shots on goal and was named to the NESCAC Fall Academic All-Conference Team.
• Junior Iva Carton returns after a productive sophomore campaign in which she recorded five points on two goals and one assist. Carton scored the game-winning goal in Trinity's 4-3 victory over Connecticut College and also found the net against Bates. She finished the season with 13 shots, including six on goal, and earned NESCAC Fall Academic All-Conference recognition.
• Junior Kyra Charette appeared in all 15 games last season, making 12 starts in the midfield. She registered four points on two goals, including goals against Anna Maria and Colby, while firing 20 shots and seven shots on goal.
• Junior Ava Correnti returns after starting all 15 games in 2025 and leading the Bantams with 1,234 minutes played. Correnti recorded three assists, including two in Trinity's 4-3 victory over Connecticut College.
• Junior Taylor Troskey returns after appearing in all 15 games last season. Troskey recorded one assist and eight shots while providing depth and experience in the midfield. She was also named to the NESCAC Fall Academic All-Conference Team.
• Junior Lauren Hoh returns to the Bantam back line after scoring her first collegiate goal in Trinity's 2-0 shutout of Bates. Hoh was also recognized on the NESCAC Fall Academic All-Conference Team.
• Junior Lauren Grattan returns after appearing in six games, including one start, last season. Grattan logged 208 minutes and started Trinity's scoreless draw against Brandeis.
• Sophomore Sophia Simmons returns after an encouraging first-year campaign. Simmons appeared in 13 games, making three starts, and recorded three points on one goal and one assist. Her first collegiate goal proved to be the game-winner in Trinity's 3-0 victory over Eastern Connecticut State.
• Sophomore Addie Covey returns after starting all 15 games in 2025 and tying for second on the team with six points. Covey scored two goals and added two assists while providing an important attacking presence throughout the season.
• Sophomore Emma Rose returns after appearing in 13 games as a first-year. Rose scored her first collegiate goal in Trinity's 3-0 victory at Saint Joseph and finished the season with three points.
• Sophomore Makena Hammond returns after appearing in 13 games as a first-year. Hammond scored her first collegiate goal in the 7-0 season-opening victory over Anna Maria.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Ali Shure returns after making her collegiate debut in Trinity's 7-0 win over Anna Maria. Shure played 45 minutes and helped the Bantams record a shutout in her first collegiate appearance.
• The Bantams will need to replace five members of last year's team, including team captain Elena Lindonen, Elsa Deutsch, Sarah Kenney, Jill Fisher and Alyssa Keane. Lindonen capped her Trinity career with her third NESCAC All-Conference selection after leading the Bantams with five goals and 11 points in 2025.
• Lindonen was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team following the 2025 season, while Keane earned 2025 CSC Academic All-District recognition.
• Trinity's returning student-athletes bring a strong record of academic achievement. Twelve Bantams earned NESCAC Fall Academic All-Conference recognition in 2025, including returning players Emma Almoney, Iva Carton, Lauren Hoh, Mallory Kerr, Adeline Shannon and Taylor Troskey.
• The Bantams welcome 11 first-years to the 2026 roster, adding another wave of youth to a group that gained valuable experience during last season's 15-game campaign.
• Head coach Rachael Schroeder enters her eighth season at the helm of the Trinity program in 2026. Schroeder owns a 36-41-19 record at Trinity and has guided the Bantams to three appearances in the NESCAC Championship Tournament and an NCAA Division III Championship Tournament appearance in 2022. During her tenure, nine players have earned All-Conference status, including 2022 NESCAC Rookie of the Year Elena Lindonen. Schroeder has also coached 62 NESCAC All-Academic honorees, including 12 selections in 2025.
