2025 (SENIOR)
Phillips capped his Trinity career as a veteran linebacker and one of the leaders of the Bantams' defense, appearing in nine games according to the official Participation statistics. He finished the season with 32 tackles, including 16 solo tackles and 16 assisted stops, while adding 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one pass breakup and two quarterback hurries.
Phillips entered the 2025 season as one of Trinity's most experienced defensive players after leading the Bantams with 50 tackles in 2024. The season preview identified Phillips and Ethan Krauss as Trinity's returning leading tacklers.
His best performance of the 2025 season came in Trinity's 14-7 victory over Amherst on Nov. 1, when the Bantams' defense held the Mammoths to seven points. Phillips was honored prior to the game as one of Trinity's departing seniors.
Phillips also made an impact on special teams, contributing to Trinity's defensive effort throughout the season as the Bantams finished 7-2 overall and 7-2 in NESCAC play.
2024 (JUNIOR)
Phillips enjoyed a breakout junior campaign, appearing in nine games and leading Trinity with 50 tackles, including 19 solo tackles and 31 assisted stops. He added 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one quarterback hurry and one fumble recovery.
Phillips produced one of his best performances of the season in Trinity's 45-20 victory at Amherst on Nov. 2, recording a team-high seven tackles and recovering a fumble that helped set up a Trinity scoring drive.
He also started at linebacker in Trinity's 34-14 victory over Bowdoin, continuing to establish himself as one of the anchors of the Bantams' defense.
2023 (SOPHOMORE)
Phillips appeared in eight games during his sophomore season, recording 14 tackles, including four solo tackles and 10 assisted stops. He continued to develop as a member of Trinity's linebacker rotation.
His most productive game came against Bates on Nov. 4, when he recorded four assisted tackles.
