BEFORE TRINITY: All-conference selection and team defensive MVP in high school where he scored 15 goals and assisted on 28 others...also starred scholastically in volleyball.

PERSONAL: Member of the chamber orchestra in high school...received an award in high school for community service...has interned at the USC Medical Center and the East West Eye Institute...plays cello and likes to surf...son of Naomi Kurata and John Baker.
