Auburndale, Fla. - The Trinity College Bantams split a baseball
doubleheader against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
Pointers this afternoon in the Russmatt Central Florida
Invitational at Lake Myrtle Field. Trinity, ranked No. 4 in
the nation, moves to 2-1 with a 3-1 loss in the first game and an
11-2 win in the second game, while the No. 15-ranked Pointers are
now 2-2.
Trinity freshman starter D.J. Goldberg (Plainville,
Mass.) earned the win on the mound in his collegiate debut
in the nightcap, while classmate Brad Runowicz (Cheshire,
Conn.) and seniors Kent Graham (Longmeadow,
Mass.) and James Wood (Windham, N.H.)
each had two hits. Bantam sophomore Andrew Koris
(Milton, Mass.) went 2-for-3 in the first game, while
senior lefty Derek Anderson (Great Falls, Va.)
took the hard-luck loss.
