Auburndale, Fla. – Senior 1B Kent Graham
(Longmeadow, Mass.) went 6-for-9 with three doubles and a
triple to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 11/9-0/5
doubleheader sweep of the Plymouth State University Panthers in
Russmatt Central Florida Invitational baseball action this evening.
Trinity, ranked No. 5 in the nation, moves to 4-1, while the
Panthers drop to 0-6. Graham had a double and a triple in the first
game and two doubles in the second game, while fellow senior
James Wood (Windham, N.H.) homered in the opener
and went 4-for-5 with a double,a triple, three runs, and two RBI in
the nightcap. Trinity junior RHP Andrew Janiga (Ellington,
Conn.) allowed one hit with 8 K's over six innings in the
first game, while freshman Ben Goldberg (Plainview,
N.Y.) pitched five innings in relief with 7 K's and six
hits allowed to earn his first collegiate win in the second game.
