Winter Haven, Fla. - The Trinity College baseball team swept the
Colby College Mules, 18/14-1/12, in a New England Small College
Athletic Conference (NESCAC) East Division doubleheader this
afternoon in Central Florida. The Bantams, ranked No. 5 in
the nation, improve to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the NESCAC East while
improving their winning streak to six games. Colby falls to
3-4 overall and 0-3 in the division.
Trinity scored 55 runs in the three-game series, which also
included a 23-8 win yesterday afternoon, and allowed 21 runs.
Sophomore Edward Donovan (Milton, Mass.) and
freshman D.J. Goldberg (Plainville, Mass.) earned
wins on the mound for the Bantams.
