Trinity Baseball Takes Doubleheader from Union

Auburndale, Fla. – Senior James Wood (Windham, N.H.) went 7-8 with five RBI and six runs to lead the Trinity College Bantams, ranked No. 6 in the nation, to a 16/17-3/3 doubleheader sweep of Union College in men's baseball action this weekend.  The Bantams run their record to 9-1, while Union slips to 3-6 on the year.

Wood was one of three Bantams to homer, joining seniors Kent Graham (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Matt Sullivan (Longmeadow, Mass.), on an afternoon that the Bantams would post 32 runs, while holding their opponent to just six.  Graham enjoyed a 4-4 day, reaching base seven times, while adding four runs and four RBI, while Sullivan found his way on base five times, collecting five runs and five RBI in the set.

The wins conclude a successful Florida spring trip for the Bantams who travel back north for a 3:30 p.m. match with Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Tues.
