Clermont, Fla. – Junior RHP Katherine Poulos (Wilton,
Conn.) tossed a one-hit shutout with four strikeouts to lead the
Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 win over Buena Vista
College in National Training Center Games softball action this
afternoon. Trinity, which also lost, 3-2 to the Washington
and Jefferson College Presidents earlier today, is now
3-3.
Trinity sophomore OF Amelia Mostovoy (San Francisco, Calif.)
went 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI in the first game and had
both RBI against Buena Vista on a solo homer and a sacrifice
fly. Freshman Emily Kleidon (Oakdale, Minn.) was 2-for-3 in
her first career at-bats against Washington and Jefferson, while
fellow rookie Claire Prosperi (Northbrook, Ill.) was 2-for-3 in the
second game. Junior RHP Lindsay Gibbons (Basking Ridge, N.J.)
was the hard-luck loser in the circle against Washington and
Jefferson.
