Clermont, Fla. –  Sophomore Abby Ostrom (Carlisle, Mass.) went 4-for-7 with two doubles, three runs, and three RBI to lead the Trinity College Bantams to wins over the Union College Dutchwomen and the Plymouth State University Panthers this afternoon in National Training Center Games softball action this afternoon.  Trinity improved to 3-2 with a 9-7 victory in nine innings against Union in its first game of the day, and edged Plymouth State, 4-3, to up its season mark to 4-2 a couple hours later.

Trinity and Union played to a 5-5 tie after seven innings, and each team added a run in the eighth frame.  The Bantams scored three times in the top of the ninth inning, and held off another Panther comeback in the bottom of the inning.  First-year RHP Katerina Kolbe (Washington, D.C.) earned her second relief win of the spring to improve to 2-0 in the circle for Trinity, while Bantam OF Christina Galese (Fairfield, N.J.) was 2-for-5 with a triple and scored three runs.

Trinity rallied back from a 2-1 deficit with three runs in the top of the sixth inning, as sophomore C Olivia Berry (Quincy, Mass.) drove in the game-winning run with a double and came around to score what turned out to be a needed insurance run.  Bantam senior RHP Lindsay Gibbons (Basking Ridge, N.J.) picked up her first win of the year, relieving Kolbe in the sixth inning.
