Trinity Softball Loses Season's First Road Games At Eastern Connecticut

Mansfield, Conn. - Sophomore second baseman Gina Georgetti (Milford) had two triples, a double and home run and scored four runs to pace the Eastern Connecticut State University softball team to an 8/13-1/1 doubleheader sweep of visiting Trinity College this afternoon at the Eastern Softball Stadium. The second game was stopped after five innings.  Trinity, coming off a 12-day layoff, falls to 3-9, while the Warriors improve to 9-3 with the home-opening victories. 

Georgetti tripled twice in the opener and scored twice, then drove in three runs and scored twice with a double and home run in the second game. First-year 1B Katharine Haghdan (Pelham, N.H.) and rookie SS Michelle Treglia (Fairfield) each had two hits for Trinity.
