North Adams, Mass. – The Trinity College volleyball team won six straight sets Saturday afternoon, sweeping Massachusetts Maritime Academy to kick off the day before downing Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in similar fashion. The Bantams climb back to .500 on the season with a 6-6 overall record. Trinity will have a couple days off before Northern Vermont University comes to Hartford on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. tilt in Oosting Gymnasium.
The Bantams allowed just 27 points in its first match of Saturday's double-header action. Trinity cruised past Maritime Academy 25-12, 25-9 and 25-4. A 17-point run in the third set marks the largest run of the season for the Blue and Gold. Sophomore

Trinity's second match of the afternoon against Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts resulted in another 3-0 triumph, 25-17, 25-20, 25-18. It was the Trailblazers who scored the first points in each of the three sets, including a 5-1 lead in the third frame before the Bantams hit their stride. Natalia Ortiz handled the bulk defensive efforts with 15 digs. Junior
Molly Bernstein added in four total blocks while Luhnow and first-year
Grace Sullivan combined for 29 assists. Johnson tied her season-high with four aces while Sullivan chipped in three of her own.
