DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Trinity College Bantams allowed just four hits but lost, 4-3, against the Benedictine University Eagles in RussMatt Central Florida Invitational baseball action this afternoon. Trinity falls to 4-4 and will play New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) West Division rival Middlebury tomorrow and Saturday to close out its spring trip South. Benedictine improves to 6-3.

Patrick Dillon (Bronx, N.Y.). Benedictine scored twice in the bottom of the inning on a two-run single by Damien Castillo, but the Bantams got one back in the top of the fourth on a single by sophomore
Bennett Teceno (Centerville, Mass.) and a run-scoring hit by junior OF
Brandon Chow (Greenwich, Conn.).
The Eagles went back ahead by two runs in the fifth inning and the Bantams rallied yet again, scoring with two outs in the sixth on a Chow triple and a single by Mathews. Trinity did not get a hit the rest of the way, however, spoiling a stellar relief appearance by sophomore righty
Tyler Griffin (Milford, Conn.) who did not yield a hit or a walk over the last four frames with three strikeouts. Trinity starter
James Stefanowicz (Stamford, Conn.) took the loss in his season debut, while Chow and sophomore 1B
