SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior attacker
Christine Taylor (Westport, Conn.) scored six times to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 15-9 victory over the Springfield College Pride in women's lacrosse action this afternoon at Stagg Field. Trinity, ranked No. 18 in the nation, improves to 4-2 and the Pride falls to 3-4. The Bantams visit No. 10-ranked Tufts New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) contest on Saturday at noon in their next game.

Lily Ives (Chappaqua, N.Y.) scored back-to-back in the second stanza to give Trinity the lead. Jade O'Connor scored her third goal of the game for the Pride to it at 4-all but the Bantams answered with a 3-0 run to close the first half including the last from Ives to senior tri-captain

Casey Ward (Norwell, Mass.) and Taylor scored to open the third quarter and complete a 5-0 Bantam run, and the visitors led, 9-4 less than five minutes after intermission. Springfield rallied to score four of the next five goals, two each by O'Connor and Katie Martel, but Trinity responded with another 5-0 run including three more Taylor tallies.
