MEDFORD, Mass. - Anna Clarke scored three goals to lead the Tufts University Jumbos to a 13-5 victory over the visiting Trinity College Bantams in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's lacrosse action this afternoon at Bello Field.  Trinity, ranked No. 18 in the nation, falls to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the NESCAC, while the No. 10-ranked Jumbos improve to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the league.  Trinity is off for 11 days before hosting conference foe Connecticut College on Wednesday, April 6 for the Bantams' "Pride Game".

Tufts outshot Trinity, 39-17, and forced 22 turnovers.  Trinity senior tri-captain goalkeeper Gabriella Young (Raleigh, N.C.) made 14 saves and Tufts' Molly Laliberty had seven stops.  Senior Christine Taylor (Westport, Conn.) and junior Lily Ives (Chappaqua, N.Y.) accounted for all the Bantam scoring with three and two goals, respectively.  Trinity senior Lilianna Khosrowshahi (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) added an assist, while junior Alisyn McNamara (North Hampton, N.H.) led the Bantams with four ground balls.  The game was tied, 2-2, early, as Ives scored the first of the game 1:06 in and Khosrowshahi fed Taylor at the 8:48 mark of the first quarter to tie it a 2-all.  Tufts rattled off eight unanswered goals to take control and lead, 10-2, with 8:50 remaining in the third frame.  Taylor scored back-to-back player-up goals late in the third but the Jumbos scored three of the last four.
