Senior
Cole Poliziani (Burlington, Ontario) scored the first goal of the day less than a minute and a half into action on an assist from junior
Riley Prattson (Tolland, Conn.). Prattson's initial attempt to feed Poliziani was deflected by an Ephs' defenseman but the junior quickly regained possession and sent it back to Poliziani who was waiting on the doorstep for the goal.
At the 7:30 mark, Trinity took a 2-0 lead when sophomore
Ned Blanchard (West Hartford, Conn.) fired from the point and saw his shot redirected by first-year
Richard Boysen (Belle Vernon, Pa.) to give the visitors a two-score lead.
In the second period, the Bantams capitalized on a power play just nine seconds into the 5-on-4 advantage when Blanchard sent the puck low to sophomore
Devan Tongue (Hampden Mass.) who pivoted and shot off the post and in for the score. The Bantams added a fourth and final insurance goal at the 12:18 mark in the third frame when junior
Paul Selleck (Laguna Hills, Calif.) fed sophomore
Kyle Tomaso (Newport, R.I.) who sliced across the face of the goaltender and tucked away the goal inside the left post.
J.P. Mella earned his second shutout in net this season for the Bantams and recorded 21 saves. Trinity outshot the Ephs 30-21 while goaltender Evan Ruschil made 26 stops for Williams.
