HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Field Hockey team registered their third shutout of the season, holding visiting University of New England off the scoreboard in a 4-0 win at Robin L. Sheppard Field Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Bantams improve to 4-1 on the season, while the Nor'easters drop to 2-5 overall.

Katrina Winfield (Wilmington, Del.) dished the ball to junior
Ashley Zigler (Falls Church, Va.), who placed a shot past Nor'easters junior keeper Dawn DeWeese-Moss (Pittsfield, Maine), extending the Trinity advantage to 2-0. The Bantams held the 2-0 lead into halftime.
Less than six minutes into the third period, Trinity junior
Izzy Deveney (Westport, Conn.) connected with Winfield to put the Bantams ahead 3-0. With just over five minutes remaining in regulation, sophomore
Harper Siemens (Tulsa, OK) gathered a loose ball near the UNE goal and tucked a shot into the back of the net, sending Trinity to the 4-0 victory.
The Bantams outshot the Nor'easters, 26-4, and won the penalty corner battle, 10-3. McMichael recorded three saves for Trinity, while DeWeese-Moss logged a game-high 14 stops for UNE.
Trinity will look to remain in the win column when they host Springfield College at 6:00 p.m. at Robin L. Sheppard Field Wednesday. UNE travels to Johnson & Wales Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. match.
