#10 Men's Hockey Falls to Conn College, 2-1

HARTFORD, Conn. – The tenth-ranked Trinity College Men's Hockey team suffered their first New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) loss, falling to visiting Connecticut College, 2-1, in a tilt at the Koeppel Community Sports Center Saturday afternoon. The Bantams slide to 12-3-1 on the season with an 8-1-1 mark in the NESCAC, while the Camels rise to 6-7-2 overall and 4-6 in conference.

Prior to the game, the Trinity College Men's Hockey program held a dedication ceremony for the new scoreboards and athletics endowment honoring Ted Judson Class of 1977. Ted was a varsity goaltender for Men's Lacrosse and Men's Hockey, who passed away following a courageous battle with cancer  

Game Notes:

·        With 9:26 left in the first period, the Bantams grabbed a 1-0 lead as senior Devan Tongue potted his second goal of the season with assists from senior Spencer Korona and junior Ricky Boysen.

·        Trailing 1-0 in the second period, the Camels netted the equalizer as Seth Stadheim scored off a pass from Cole Eichler with 15:25 remaining in the second period.

·        Less than three minutes later, the Camels scored the eventual game-winning goal as Jack Luca found the back of the net off a pass from Quinn Kennedy to give Conn College the 2-1 lead.

·        Camels goaltender Sean Dynan made a game-high 25 saves, including 16 saves in the third period, to secure the 2-1 win for the Camels.

·        Trinity sophomore goaltender Devon Bobak stopped 19 shots for the Bantams.

·        The Bantams outshot the Camels, 26-21, won the battle in the faceoff circle, 30-24, during the game.

·        Trinity will look to bounce back when they travel to Hamilton College (11-4-1, 6-3-1) for a NESCAC clash Friday at 7:00 p.m. in Clinton, New York.
