HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team played to a 1-1 tie against visiting Bowdoin College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) clash at Trinity Soccer Field Sunday afternoon. The Bantams move to 2-8-1 overall and 0-5-1 in conference play, while the Polar Bears sit at 1-4-2 in the NESCAC and 2-4-5 on the season.

The Bantams struck early as senior
Sofia Quijada intercepted a ball at midfield and played a pass up the sideline to first-year
Sara Rieger, who raced to the box and placed a cross to the front of the net for the right-foot finish from junior
Alyssa Keane to stake Trinity to a 1-0 lead. Trinity first-year goalkeeper
Lily Bracken notched a pair of first-half saves to maintain the 1-0 scoreboard at the half.

With 12:18 remaining in the game, Polar Bear senior Laila Nickelson took a pass in the box and chipped a shot towards the Bantams net, where Bracken made a diving save that deflected off the crossbar, and the rebound landed in front of the open net for first-year Jackie Shores to knock in, knotting the score at 1-1. Bracken added two more saves late in the contest to preserve the draw.
