NEW LONON, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Soccer team rallied from a 2-0 deficit but came up short, 3-2, against host Connecticut College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) match at Freeman Field Wednesday night. The Bantams move to 2-6 overall and 0-5 in conference play, while the Camels rise to 2-1-3 in the NESCAC and 5-1-3 on the season.

The Camels broke a scoreless tie in the 11
th minute with a pair of goals in a three-minute span, beginning with a strike from senior Matt Scoffone. With 31:26 remaining in the first half, Conn extended their advantage as senior Alessandro Horvath Diano connected with junior Elliot Spatz for the finish to make it 2-0. The Bantams trimmed the deficit to 2-1 before the half behind an unassisted tally from junior
Kieran McCabe.

The Camels regained a two-goal advantage in the 54
th minute on a tally from first-year Dylan Hoke. With 23:20 remaining in regulation, Trinity first-year
Chris Connelly registered his first collegiate goal to close the gap to 3-2.

The Camels outshot the Bantams, 22-5, and held the edge in corner kicks, 5-2, during the contest. Trinity senior goalkeeper
Matt Birnhak made five saves for the Bantams, while Camels senior Peter Silvester had two saves.

The Bantams will return to the pitch when they travel to Tufts University for a NESCAC clash Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Conn College will host Hamilton Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
