Bantams Fall to Continentals, 3-1, in Senior Day Matchup

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bantams honored their Class of 2025 seniors before facing the visiting Hamilton College Continentals in a conference matchup. Unfortunately for Trinity, they suffered a 3-1 defeat on Saturday afternoon. With this loss, the Bantams now hold a 2-12-0 overall record and 0-9-0 in NESCAC play, while the Continentals improved to 7-5-3 overall and 4-4-2 in the conference.

Hamilton struck first, with Charles Hawthorn scoring an unassisted goal just 24:43 into the match. Trinity attempted to respond with three shots in the first half from Owen McDermott, Jordan McCammon, and Shane Ivey, but none found the back of the net. Pandelis Margaronis added to the Continentals' lead with a goal just nine seconds before halftime, bringing the score to 2-0.

The Continentals continued their dominance, scoring again at 48:16 to extend their lead to 3-0 early in the second half.

In the closing minutes, the Bantams broke through and ended Hamilton's shutout bid. With under five minutes remaining, Owen McDermott took a corner kick that found Jack Murphy, who redirected the ball with a header into the top corner of the net.

Hamilton outshot Trinity 11-3 in the match. First-year goalkeeper Felix Schmidt faced 14 shots and recorded 8 saves.

The Bantams will host Amherst College on Tuesday, October 29th, for their regular-season finale against the Mammoths at 8 PM.
