HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Soccer team battled visiting 19
th-ranked Wesleyan University in a 1-0 loss during their New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) clash at Trinity Soccer Field Tuesday night. The Bantams dip to 2-8 on the season, and 0-5 in NESCAC play, while the Cardinals improved to 8-0-2 overall and 4-0-2 in conference.

th minute of action, Wesleyan looked to break a scoreless tie as Katie O'Connell attempted to head home a cross from the wing, but Trinity first-year goalkeeper
Lily Bracken made a leaping one-handed save to keep the Cardinals off the scoreboard. The sides went into halftime knotted at 0-0.

The Cardinals delivered the game-winning goal less than two minutes into the second half as junior Stefanie Stoj knocked in a cross from classmate Riley Buehler to hand the Cardinals the eventual 1-0 victory.

Wesleyan led the Bantams in the shot column, 14-10, while Trinity held the edge in corner kicks, 3-2. Bracken registered a career-high eight saves for the Bantams, while junior Molly Brumbach made six saves for the Cardinals.

The Bantams will return to the pitch when they host Bowdoin Sunday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. Wesleyan will host #15 Williams in a top-20 matchup Saturday at Noon.
