HARTFORD, Conn. – The fourth-ranked Trinity College Men's Ice Hockey team suffered a 4-2 setback to visiting Connecticut College in their 2024-25 season opener at the Koeppel Community Sports Center Friday night.

The Camels cracked the scoreboard in the fourth minute of action as John Harrington found the back of the net on the power-play to put Conn College up 1-0. With 6:24 remaining in the first period, the Camels extended the lead to 2-0 as Will Lawrence found Logan Cleary on a quick transition goal.

The Bantams trimmed the gap to 2-1 late in the first as
Aidan D'Urso dumped a puck into the Camels zone that was fished out by senior
Alexander Mozian and played towards traffic in front of the Conn College goal, where D'Urso swooped in a knocked the puck past Camels goaltender Kellen Bouton.

Conn College Rocco Testa-Basi regained a two-goal advantage with a power-play tally at the 6:14 mark of the second period. Trinity pulled within a goal with 15:22 to play as Bouton went behind the net for a loose puck and attempted to clear, but Mozian intercepted the pass at the halfwall and wristed a shot into the open net, making it 3-2. The Bantams were unable to find the equalizer down the stretch, and Jack Luca added an empty net goal to seal the 4-2 score.

The Bantams controlled the shot column, 61-46, while the Camels took the edge in the faceoff circle, 26-23. Trinity junior
Devon Bobak tallied a game-high 24 saves, while Bouton posted 20 saves in the win.

Trinity will be back on the ice when they welcome Tufts University to the Koeppel Center Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. faceoff.
