WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – The 12
th-ranked Trinity College Women's Ice Hockey team edged 13
th-ranked Norwich University in overtime, 2-1, in the Sunshine Turkey Classic consolation game at the AdventHealth Center Ice Saturday afternoon. The Bantams rise to 6-1 on the season, while the Cadets dip to 5-4 overall.

Following a scoreless first period, Norwich seized the first lead of the game as graduate
Anne Levia lost control of the puck at the blue line, leading to a 2-on-1 breakaway for the Cadets. Norwich sophomore Breanna Ricker grabbed the loose puck in the neutral zone and sped towards the Trinity goal, where she found junior Rylie McIntyre for the wrister finish to give Norwich the 1-0 lead.

The Bantams delivered the equalizer with 10:55 remaining in the third period as senior
Martina Exnerova won a faceoff in the Cadets zone, and classmate
Paige Kehoe snagged the puck, skated to goal and slid a pass across the crease to sophomore
Marta Mazzocchi, who tucked a shot inside the far post to even the score at 1-1.

Madeline Carter came up big for the Bantams in the overtime period, making a pair of crucial saves, including one that led to a 2-on-1 advantage for the Bantams, and senior
Martina Exnerova sniped a wrist shot over the shoulder of Norwich graduate goaltender Leocadia Clark to send Trinity to the 2-1 victory.

The Cadets outshot the Bantams 26-22, while Trinity took the edge in the faceoff circle, 31-30. Carter logged a career-high 25 saves, while Clark posted 20 saves for the Cadets.

The Bantams will return to the ice when they host Nazareth University in a non-conference game Friday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m.
