NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Basketball team dominated host Albertus Magnus College, 94-74, in a non-conference matchup at Marcus Messner Center Monday night. The Bantams rise to 7-2 overall, while the Falcons move to 4-4 on the season.

Olivia Vick powered the Bantams offense with a team-high 24 points, matching a program-record shooting 12-of-12 from the foul line, with two steals. Sophomore
Avery Marzo netted a career-high 19 points, connecting on 4-of-6 three-pointers, with six rebounds. Junior
Melissa Whitmore added 15 points, six rebounds and two assists, while senior
Hannah Marzo matched a career-high with eight rebounds, along with 11 points and a team-high three assists. Sophomore Madison Forman grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds with eight points in the win.

Albertus Magnus had three scorers in double figures, led by a game-high 28 points from Caitlyn Scott. Jakara Murray-Leach scored 21 points with eight rebounds and two assists, while Diamond White recorded 11 points with a game-high five assists.

A pair of three-pointers from Vick handing the Bantams an early 10-4 advantage in the first quarter. Whitmore buried a trio of three-pointers to escort the Trinity lead to 21-10 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the quarter. Witmore and Vick each added free throws to put the Bantams ahead 25-13.

The Falcons worked at the deficit, opening the second quarter with a 7-2 run, to set the score at 27-20. Leading 37-30 late in the period, the Bantams ripped off an 11-4 run, featuring five points from Vick and four from
Avery Marzo, to close the frame with a 48-34 lead entering halftime.

Avery Marzo accounted for 11 straight points to hand Trinity a 63-45 lead four minutes into the third quarter. Sophomore
Kiki Fossbender jarred back-to-back buckets, followed by a three-pointer from
Avery Marzo as the Bantams took a 72-54 lead into the fourth.

The Falcons battled back, using a 10-4 to close the gap to 76-64 with 7:11 to play. The sides exchanged buckets over the next three minutes, but the Bantams pulled away with a late 12-4 run, featuring five points from
Avery Marzo, to capture the 94-74 victory.

The Bantams controlled glass (54-30) and bench points (17-6), while the Falcons held the advantage in the paint (36-26). Trinity shot 31-of-66 (47%) from the floor, including 10-of-25 (40%) from three-point, and a season-high 22-of-24 (91.7%) from the free throw line. Albertus Magnus connected on 26-of-72 (36.1%) from the floor, 7-of-23 (30.4%) from three-point and 15-of-25 (60%) from the foul line.

The Bantams will return to the floor when they travel to Bronx, New York for the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament, hosted by Lehman College on December 27 & 28.
