Box Score 2 LEXINGTON, S.C- Trinity College Baseball topped Swarthmore College 12-7 to open up their Spring Break Round Robin trip. Oswego State would best the Bantams in the night cap, falling 15-8 for the final score. Bantams sit 3-2 on the season while Swarthmore dropped 5-3 and Oswego rises 2-2.
Michael Aceto is the winning pitcher for the Bantams as he tossed for 7 innings throwing 5 strikeouts, allowing 11 hits and 7 runs in the game against SWAT.Â
Trinity cracked three doubles from Jack Mathews, Tanner Fairchild and William Frain, Fairchild closed out the game for the Bantams with a solo shot over the right field fence. On the bags for the Bantams, Tyler Bernstein stole two bases and long with one from Dylan Schnitzer and Aiden Stern.
Despite the success on the offensive side of the diamond, the Bantams did find themselves in trouble with errors collecting five total as a team.
In the night cap against Oswego the Bantams sent five pitchers to the mound letting up 15 runs as a team, falling 15-8 for the final.
Trinity Baseball will compete at 9AM on Monday morning against Ithaca College.
