Shikar Tosses 10 Strikeouts in Double Header Sweep over ECSU

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -  The Trinity College Softball team swept host Eastern Connecticut State University in the non-conference double header Tuesday afternoon.  Sophomore Kaysen Shikar tossed within the pitching lanes striking out ten batters in five innings, defeating the Warriors 11-2 in game two.  

Bantams will continue to stay on the road as they travel to Tufts University for a New England Small College Athletic College double header on Saturday, April 13th at 12:00PM/2:00PM. Trinity will head into the conference meeting with a 15-8 and 5-3 NESCAC record.

  • Bantams tied the game 1-1 in the second inning after Taylor Mikolajczak singled to left field, scoring Emily Goddard. 

  • Later in the seventh inning Isabella Calagna flied out to right field tying the score 2-2, advancing Annika Haley to second, Gianna Tito to third and sending in Mikolajczak
