GORHAM, Maine – The Trinity College Volleyball squad grabbed a pair of three-set sweeps during a tri-match at the University of Southern Maine, defeating Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-21) and the host Huskies, 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-21) Saturday afternoon at Hill Gymnasium. For the first time in program history, the Bantams open the season with a 7-0 mark.

Eva Lekovic slammed a team-high 13 kills with four digs and a block, while junior
Ellie Gordon added eight kills and two digs. Senior

The Bantams registered 15 kills in each set with a season-high .409 hitting percentage. Trinity posted a .400 hitting percentage for the first time since 2022, and the highest hitting percentage since 2016 when the Bantams totaled a .414 hitting percentage against Husson.

Schlunk knocked a career-high nine kills with two digs and two blocks, while matched with nine kills and two service aces. Gordon chipped in seven kills, three blocks and two digs, while senior
Grace Sullivan racked up a match-high 12 assists, five digs and three aces. Jago grabbed a match-high 11 digs with six assists in the win.

The Bantams will look to maintain their winning ways when they travel to the Coast Guard Academy for a non-conference clash Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
