Dear Trinity Men's Lacrosse Community,
Growing up, I felt as though I was always overlooked, by coaches, teammates, and opposing teams. Despite being overlooked, I was motivated to work harder than others and earn playing time and respect from my teams and coaches. Lacrosse became one of my greatest passions for this reason. I always wanted to be the best player and person I could be. Lacrosse has taught me hard work, dedication, accountability, and leadership. These values connect directly to our goals and pillars of the program: competitive excellence, brotherhood, humility, and elite effort and behavior. These are four pillars of our process-oriented 2024/25 Trinity Men's Lacrosse Team.
Our program has continued developing and reaching new places over the past few years. Once considered a weaker NESCAC team, we have changed into a team that everyone hates to play every time we step onto the field. We compete each and every day on the field, in the weight room, and the classroom. This elite competition makes each of us better, so we can hit the ground running this spring. Over the past two seasons, we have made it to the NESCAC playoffs, but we are not satisfied. We want to end the regular season as league champions and make a run in the NCAA playoffs.
Through my time here, the relationships I have created with teammates, coaches, athletic staff, and professors is unmatched. I have found a second family in this program, and a second home in Hartford. This family pushes me to be the best version of myself each and every day, and to hold everyone to that same high standard. The brotherhood we have built stretches past the field, locker room, and weight room, and are bonds that will last for life.
We are a team, a brotherhood, one unit. We all have individual goals and aspirations, but none of these matter to us if our team goals are not achieved. We are a team; we win and lose together. We continue to become the best versions of ourselves in order to be the best version of our team. We show humility in all aspects of life at Trinity. We get better day in and day out and hold our heads high. Without humility, we stop getting better. We never stop listening to and learning from each other.
Elite effort and behavior are easy to say and harder to act upon. We strive to show unyielding effort and behavior. We stay goal oriented on and off the field, and our effort off the field matches that on the field. We continuously are adapting and learning so we are able to maintain being elite in all facets of life.
As I continue my junior year, I feel honored to build upon the path that was been paved by my teammates and brothers before me. Wearing the Bantam blue and gold brings myself and my teammates immense pride. Trinity has given our team opportunities and resources to succeed on and off the field. Without support from the athletic department and faculty on campus, our college experience would not be the same.
With another year of Trinity Athletics underway, I am honored to share my experience with our alumni, families, and friends. My positive experience at Trinity would not be possible without the generosity of those who support our program. Your continued support allows our program to compete at the highest level in the toughest league of Division III athletics. We are still in pursuit of our goals, with our ultimate season goal of winning a NESCAC championship. None of this is possible without our program's supporters.
Each and every day, I find immense pride in being a member of this program, the Trinity community, and having the ability to further my education at one of the most elite institutions in the country. Without the opportunity to play lacrosse at Trinity, I cannot imagine where I would be today. On behalf of my teammates, coaches, and Bantam Athletics, I would like to thank you for your immense amount of support because none of this is possible without you.
