CLINTON, N.Y. – The Trinity College Women's Ice Hockey team fell to host #15 Hamilton College, 2-0, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) battle at Russell Sage Rink Friday night. The Bantams slide to 0-3 on the season, while the Continentals improve to 1-1-1.
What Happened:
- With less than four minutes remaining in the first period, the Continentals cracked the scoreboard as Sarah Myziuk backhanded a puck from the end boards to the front of the net, where Grace Cowley provided the re-direct past Madeline Carter to give Hamilton the 1-0 lead.
- Following a scoreless second period, Hamilton potted an insurance goal as a shot from the point pinballed behind Continental players, leading to a tip-in from Lydia Bullock less than four minutes into the game to extend the Hamilton lead to 2-0.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Continentals controlled the shot column, 37-15, during the game.
- Hamilton edged the Bantams in the faceoff circle, 24-20.
