Cotton struck late in the period, finishing a setup from Joseph Harney to give Trinity a 3–1 lead entering the final frame.

  • In the third the Bantams capitalized on a Trinity PowerPlay with fifty seconds remaining in the man-up battle, Trinity's Brendan Dumas found the back of the net with an assist from Spencer Korona to grow a 4-1 lead just 4 minutes into the final period.
