HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Basketball team erased a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat visiting Vassar College, 68–60, on Wednesday night in Ray Oosting Gymnasium. The Bantams improve to 6–1 on the year, while the Brewers drop to 1–3.
What Happened

Vassar jumped out to an 18–7 lead in the opening quarter, fueled by strong play from Elodie Ware. Trinity responded with baskets from Lucy Dorion, Marlo Simms, and Kiki Fossbender, plus a three-pointer from Avery Marzo, to trim the deficit to 22–16.

Early in the second quarter, Marzo connected again from deep and Maya Carnes added a layup to bring the Bantams within three. The Brewers maintained their advantage through the half, taking a 35–28 lead into the break.

Trinity stormed out in the third quarter with a dominant 28–12 run, scoring eight second-chance points during the stretch. Dorion paced the surge with seven points on two layups and a three-pointer, helping Trinity take a 53–51 lead into the final period.

The Bantams controlled the fourth quarter, building a 12-point cushion with four minutes remaining. A late Brewers layup cut the margin to 10, but Trinity held firm to secure the 68–60 victory.

Lindsey Shoulders added 10 points and five rebounds, while Maureen Regan and Sophia Ippolito chipped in eight apiece. Erin Lovett grabbed five rebounds off the bench.
