HARTFORD, Conn. – The 13
th-ranked Trinity College Men's Ice Hockey team defeated visiting Williams College, 5-4, in overtime, in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) battle at the Koeppel Community Sports Center Saturday afternoon. The Bantams rise to 14-5-1 overall with a 10-3-1 mark in conference action, while the Ephs dip to 8-10-2 on the season and 5-8-1 in the NESCAC.

With less than 20 second remaining in the overtime period, sophomore

Alexander Mozian, giving the Bantams a 2-on-1 opportunity. As Mozian raced towards the net, he tucked a pass to the far post, where classmate
Eamon Doheny snapped a shot past sprawling Williams senior netminder Cal Sundquist to send Trinity to the 5-4 victory.

In the 17
th minute of action, the Bantams broke a scoreless tie as sophomore
Joseph Harney tucked a pass through the Ephs defense to the front of the net, where first-year
Ty Broad swooped in and chipped a shot past Sundquist to give Trinity the 1-0 lead.

Less than five minutes into the second period, the Ephs tied the score as first-year Grant Fuchsen fired a shot wide of the net but the puck ricocheted of the boards and snuck past Bobak, knotting the game at 1-1. With 7:41 on the clock, Williams grabbed a 2-1 lead as first-year Jake McManus put on a shot on net from the goal line, and a secondary rebound landed at the stick of classmate Rowan Heithoff, who found the back of the net to make it a 2-1 game.

The Ephs extended their lead to 3-1 as junior Jared Lambright scored on another rebound for Williams at the 3:42 mark. The Bantams trimmed the gap to 3-2 in the final minute of the period as senior
Chase McInnis connected with senior
Nicholas Siffringer in the neutral zone, who sliced towards the middle of the Ephs zone and snapped a shot over Sundquist's shoulder to make it a 3-2 game heading into the third period.

Nearly five minutes into the third period, the Bantams potted an equalizer as Siffringer battled for loose puck behind the net, where first-year
Ty Broad played a pass to the front of the net for a one-timer from McInnis, knotting the game at 3-3.

With less than two minutes to play, Broad raced after a puck in the Ephs zone and tipped the puck to McInnis, who found a crashing Turner in front of the net. Sundquist was knocked out of position by a defensemen, and Turner ripped a shot off the post, but knocked in the rebound to put the Bantams on top, 4-3. In the final minute, the Ephs utilized a 6-on-5 advantage to send the game to overtime as senior Owen Stadheim redirected a shot by Fuchsen from the point to beat Bobak and even the tilt at 4-4.

The Bantams outshot the Ephs, 32-26, and controlled the face-off circle, 41-23. Trinity went 0-for-1 on the power play, while Williams was 1-for-2. Bobak (14-5-1) registered 22 saves, while Sundquist (7-9-2) logged a game-high 27 saves for the Ephs.

Trinity will be back on the ice when they travel to Bowdoin (8-9-3, 6-5-3 NESCAC) for a conference clash Friday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m.
