HADLEY, Mass. – Trinity College senior
Jana Safy (Cairo, Egypt) was selected as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Squash Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference, announced by the conference office Wednesday. For the 10
th time in program history and fourth season in a row, the Bantams landed six All-Conference selections.

Safy was joined by classmates
Janna El Ashmawy (Alexandria, Egypt) and
Malak Moustafa (Alexandria, Egypt) on the First Team, while senior
Noa Romero (Barcelona, Spain) and juniors
Kara Lincou (Le Tampon, Reunion) and
Hannah Chukwu (Tatbanya, Hungary) earned Second Team honors.

Safy becomes the third Bantam in program history to claim two or more NESCAC Player of the Year honors, joining Catalina Pelaez (2011-12) and Kanzy El Defrawy (2013-2016). Safy is the fourth player in program history to receive four First Team All-Conference selections, joining Pelaez, Kany El Defrawy, and Raneem Sharaf. Safy logged a 13-5 record on the season playing in at the top of the ladder.

Moustafa grabs her third First Team selection after producing an 8-5 record in 13 matches. A 2022 NESCAC Player of the Year selection, Moustafa is the second player in program history to take home Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year and be a three-time First Team selection, joining Pelaez.

Janna El Ashmawy picks up her second All-Conference selection and first First Team honor after recording a perfect 18-0 mark on the season. Chukwu, the 2023 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, earns her third straight Second Team selection after generating a 14-2 record with a 4-2 mark in CSA matches. Lincou notches her second straight Second Team honor with a 16-2 record and 3-1 mark in CSA play, while Romero snags her first All-Conference selection after going 15-4 on the season.

The Bantams won their second straight CSA National Championship with a 5-4 victory over second-ranked Harvard University in the finals. Trinity won their 18
th straight NESCAC Women's Squash Championship after sweeping Wesleyan in the semifinals and Tufts in the finals.
