NEW LONDON, Conn. – The second-ranked Trinity College Men's Basketball team rallied to an 80-62 victory at Connecticut College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) battle at Luce Field House Friday night. The Bantams rise to 18-1 overall and 5-1 in conference, while the Camels slide to 14-6 and 2-4 on the season.
What Happened:
- The Camels were hot from the floor to start the game, connecting on four three-pointers to take a 16-9 lead at the 14:22 mark. Six points from James LaFrance helped Conn College expand the lead to 28-18,
- Trinity used four points from Jarrel Okorougo and a three-point play from Henry Vetter to trim the gap to 30-27 with 5:37 remaining in the first half. The Camels rebuilt a 39-30 lead, but the Bantams netted four points in the final minute to set the score at 39-34 at the break.
- The Bantams opened the frame with a 7-2 run to even the score at 41-41. Over the six five minutes, the sides traded the lead six times and tied five times.
- Knotted at 53-53 with 10:59 remaining, the Trinity defense put clamps on the Camels allowing just three points over the remainder of the contest. Vetter netted six points to fuel an 8-0 run to hand Trinity a 61-53 lead.
- Jared Berry poured in six points over the next two minutes to help the Bantams build a 69-56 lead with 4:14 on the clock. Okorougo added six points down the stretch to seal the 80-67 win.

- The Bantams connected on 47.4% (27-of-57) from the floor, 18.2% (2-of-11) from three-point range, and 77.4% (24-of-31) from the foul line.
- The Camels shot 40.7% (24-of-59) from the field, 29.0% (9-of-31) from beyond the arc, and 83.3% (10-of-12) from the free throw stripe.

- Okorougo poured in a career-high 28 points, shooting 11-of-17 from the field, with eight rebounds and two assists.
- Berry added 16 points and four rebounds off the bench, while Vetter posted 14 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
- Drew Lazarre registered 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals, and Tristan Davis grabbed six rebounds.
- The Camels had four scorers in double figures, led by Greg Cantwell with 18 points and five rebounds. LaFrance notched 15 points, Elias Espinosa had 14 points and Dylan Watson recorded a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
