SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Trinity College Men's Lacrosse team battled out of a three-goal hole to defeat host Union College, 11-10, in a non-conference battle at Frank Bailey Field Wednesday night. The Bantams rise to 2-1 on the season, while the Garnet Chargers slide to 1-6.
What Happened:
- Trailing 1-0 early, the Bantams evened the score on a tally from Bo Page, but back-to-back goals from Union rebuilt a 3-1 advantage after the first period.
- Billy Gerne and Walker Popko exchanged strikes to make it 4-2 until the Bantams knotted the game up at 4-4 after goals from Jake Connors and Conley Bohan.
- Union used a man-advantage goal and a last minute tally from Matt McKenzie to hand the Garnet Chargers a 6-4 lead at the half.
- Strikes from Bohan and Colin Sullivan helped trim the gap to 7-6 midway through the third quarter.
- Down 9-6 with 14:31 on the clock, Miles Harvey found the back of the net, followed by an unassisted strike from Sullivan to pull the Bantams within a goal.
- After Emmett Lyne put Union ahead 10-8, Trinity ripped off a trio of goals in the final eight minutes. Bohan connected with Jay Ottomanelli for a goal, followed by Sullivan's third of the game with 3:09 on the clock to knot the game at 10-10
- With less than 30 seconds to play, Connors spotted Page on a break to the goal, and Page fired the game-winner to the back of the cage, sending Trinity to the 11-10 win.

- The Bantams racked up 49 shots with 27 shots on goal, while the Garnet Chargers logged 45 shots with 19 shots on net.

- Bohan helped pace the Bantams attack with a game-high four points with two goals and two assists.
- Harvey registered three points with a goal and two assists, and Sullivan added three points on three goals.
- Page and Connors notched two points apiece, while Harvey and Carter Barford scooped a team-high five ground balls each.
- Defensively, Rory McAloon had three caused turnovers and goalkeeper Ike Davis posted nine saves in the win.
