LANCASTER, Pa. – The Trinity College Women's Lacrosse team overcame a first quarter deficit to defeat host Franklin and Marshall College, 17-7, in a non-conference clash at Shadek Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Bantams rise to 6-3 on the season, while the Diplomats move to 2-7 overall.
What Happened:
- With less than six minutes left in the first quarter, the Bantams evened the score at 1-1 behind a tally from Kelsey Restivo. The Diplomats added a pair of goals in the final three minutes of the frame to take a 3-1 lead.
- The Bantams evened the score in the opening minutes of the second on back-to-back man-advantage goals from Grace Denious and Alex Lesko to knot the game at 3-3. Following a Franklin and Marshall tally, Trinity used strikes from Charlotte Troy and Ivy Armentrout to grab a 5-4 edge.
- After the Diplomates tied the game with less than two minutes in the half, Restivo potted her second of the game with 14 seconds on the clock to give Trinity the 6-5 advantage at the half.
- The Bantams pulled away with six unanswered goals, beginning with a tally from Armentrout less than a minute to the third. Lily Acerra followed with two man-advantage goal, along with strikes from Restivo, Troy and Maggie Slimbaugh to propel the Bantams to a 12-5 lead.
- Acerra added a pair of fourth quarter goals with markers from Restivo, Lesko and Sarah Marvin to send Trinity to the 17-7 victory.

- Troy, Armentrout and Lesko chipped in two goals each, Erin Hazard registered game-highs in ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (4), and Kaeley Zito notched a game-high seven draw controls.
- Alison MacDougall (6-3) recorded the win with three saves in 60 minutes of action.
