Baseball Clips No. 13/17 Endicott, 12-11

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Trinity College Baseball team capped their 2026 regular season in style, defeating No. 13/17 Endicott College, 12-11, in a non-conference clash at North Field Wednesday afternoon. The Bantams rise to 24-10 on the season, while the Gulls slide to 28-8 overall.
 
What Happened:
  • After a scoreless first inning, the Bantam bats plated four runs in the second with an RBI double from Timothy Domizio, along with RBI singles from Cole Mascolo and Luis Saldivia and a sac fly from Dylan Schnitzer.
  • Leading 4-1 in the third, Domizio ripped another RBI double and then scored on a sac fly from Pete Beisel to extend the edge to 6-1. An RBI double from Brady Rickenbach helped trimmed it to a 6-2 game after three frames.
  • With the bases loaded in the top of the fourth, Andrew Park drew an RBI walk, and then Luis Saldivia scored on a wild pitch two batters later to rebuild an 8-2 advantage. In the home half of the fifth, the Gulls put up six runs, powered by a three-run home run from TJ Liponis, to knot the game at 8-8.
  • Down 9-8 in the seventh, Trinity evened the score with an RBI groundout from Theodore McLaughlin. Liponis struck again with an RBI double in the bottom of the frame, but Trinity answered in the eighth as Timmy Domizio belted a two-out, three-run home run over the left field fence, pushing the Bantams to a 12-10 lead. Tyler Fahey forced a fly out, strike out and ground out to seal the 12-11 victory.
 
Inside the Boxscore:
  • The Bantams drove in 12 runs on 12 hits, including five extra-base hits, with no errors in the field. The Gulls scored 11 runs on 14 hits, including six extra-base hits.
  • Domizio powered the Bantams, going 4-for-5 at the dish with a career-high five RBIs, three runs scored, two doubles and a home run.
  • Saldivia tallied three knocks with an RBI and a run scored, while Aidan Stevenson added two hits with two runs scored. Schnitzer, Mascolo, Park, and McLaughlin all drove in a run and scored.
  • Fahey (5-0) earned the win in relief, scattering one run on two hits with two strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work.

  • The Bantams will return to the diamond for the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Baseball Championship Quarterfinal against Wesleyan University (12-21) at Murren Family Field at DiBenedetto Stadium.
  • The three-game series will open Friday, May 1 at 3:00 p.m., followed by game two Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and game three at 2:30 p.m. (if necessary).
