Hartford, Conn. - Junior forward Sam Wisner
(Wayland, Mass.) had a goal and an assist to lead the
visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 2-0 win over the Westfield
State College Owls in men's soccer action this evening.
Trinity, ranked No. 4 in New England, improves to 9-2 with its
second win in a row, while the Owls fall to 5-5-2.
Wisner scored an unassisted goal 48 seconds into the game and
junior back John Graves (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored
in the 28th minute with Wisner tallying the assist. Bantam
senior GK Zac Trudeau (Norwell, Mass.) needed just
one save to earn a shutout victory. Trinity outshot
Westfield, 15-6, and Owl goalie Lucas Dexter (Acushnet,
Mass.) made four saves.
