Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore Leigh Howard (Bethany,
Conn.) scored two goals and collected an assist to lead
the Trinity College Bantams to a 4-0 win over the Connecticut
College Camels in women's soccer action this afternoon on Campus
Field. Trinity improves to 3-2-2 on the season and 2-2-1 in
the NESCAC with the win, while Connecticut falls to 3-6 overall and
0-5 in the league.
Howard's first goal came 2:12 into the game, which was all
Trinity would need, as sophomore goalkeeper Lily Pepper
(Princeton Junction, N.J.) and the Bantam defensive unit
would go on to secure their fifth shutout this fall. Trinity
has allowed just three goals in seven games this season.
Senior Lauren Olson (Cheshire, Conn.) and
junior Carly Westman (Newton, Mass.) added goals
for the Bantams. Pepper finished the game with fivee saves,
while Connecticut senior goalkeeper Jenna Ross (Longmeadow,
Mass.)
