Hartford, Conn. - The Trinity College Bantams won their second
straight game, defeating the Worcester State College Lancers 76-58
in women's basketball action this evening on Stan Ogrodnik Court at
Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity improves to 5-2 overall, while the
Lancers fall to 4-4.
Trinity never trailed, starting the game on a 24-10 run, and
keeping a comfortable lead the rest of the way. Bantam
sophomore guard Michelle Royals (Torrington,
Conn.) scored 19 points and sophomore guard
Kaitlin Ciarleglio (Waterbury, Conn.) scored
11 points to lead the Bantams, while junior Rebecca
Cohn (San Francisco, Calif.) pulled down seven rebounds
and senior Christine Card (Waterbury, Conn.)
collected seven assists and three blocks.
Sophomore Kaleigh Charette (Fairhaven, Mass.)
and senior Bri Flanders (South Hampton, Mass.)
combined for 37 points for the Lancers. Charette was 12-12
from the charity stripe in a game that featured 40 total fouls
between both teams.
Trinity travels to Rivier for their last match of the semester,
scheduled for a 7 p.m. start on Fri., Dec. 10.
